Steam Strippers can be a fast and effective way to remove old wallpaper with the potential befit of sterilising the wall surface at the same time.  Always use steam strippers in accordance with their manufacturer’s instructions.  There is a potentially risk of injury to the skin so great care should always be taken whist using these machines. Incorrect use may also damage the wall surface, so be attentive to the steams effect upon the surface and correct your practice accordingly.

When steam stripping wallpaper always protect the floor  ant their coverings as contaminates and residues from the surface, wallpaper, old paint coatings, potentially can stain or damage them, particular care should be taken over the wall/floor joint as this is where excess water might pool.

Prepared the machine for use in accordance with the manufacturer’s instructions, place the steam on a piece of wood, cotton dust sheet or a thick blanket to protect heat damage to the floor or its covering and place the steam pan in a safe watertight place, as before the steam there will be a spluttering of water, I find placing the steam pan in a bin bag to be a good solution.   Remember never to leave the steam pan somewhere, where the heat might also cause damage to furnishings or injury.
